Brenda Howard (24 December 1946 - 28 June 2005) was a Jewish bisexual 2SLGBTQIA+ rights activist and sex-positive feminist. She is known as the "Mother of Pride" for organizing a rally and march to mark the first anniversary of the Stonewall riots; these events were the origin of modern-day Pride Month being celebrated in June in many countries.[1]
